Resumen
Los contratistas llave en mano asumen durante la ejecución de sus proyectos un doble riesgo. De un lado, el de no ser capaces de ejecutar satisfactoriamente los mismos en términos de coste, calidad y/o plazos de entrega. De otro, el de que su cliente adopte una actitud inflexible en la renegociación de los proyectos aprovechándose de las inversiones específicas realizadas por la empresa. Utilizando como evidencia empírica el caso de Astilleros Gondán, SA, el trabajo muestra el papel que desempeñan las capacidades de ejecución de proyectos y el capital relacional acumulado con los clientes en la reducción de los riesgos antes mencionados. El análisis realizado muestra que la clave en la gestión de estas empresas es entrar en ciclos de desarrollo que permitan aprovechar el capital técnico y relacional acumulado, en vez de estar siempre ejecutando nuevos tipos de proyecto para nuevos clientes.
