Resumen

El trabajo pone de manifiesto la necesidad de crear entornos socialmente innovadores con el fin de incentivar la creación empresarial de una región. Está demostrado que este tipo de entornos favorece la creación e implantación de nuevas empresas, mejorar la riqueza económica y social del lugar, y contribuye tecnológicamente al desarrollo de las regiones. Por este motivo, este trabajo pone de manifiesto estos aspectos, pretende demostrarlos empíricamente, a partir de una muestra de 24 países entre los años 2005 y 2012.
