Abstract

Does the availability of work-family programs reduce employees’ work-family conflict? Does a family-friendly culture help? We respond to these questions by analyzing 480 surveys answered by employees working in Spain. The results allow us to conclude that companies that offer more flexibility programs and, especially, when each employee’s supervisor supports him/her in his/her efforts to balance work and family, the employee’s work-family conflict diminishes.
