Family business: an interdisciplinary approach

Abstract

This article is the introduction to Universia Business Review ’s special issue on family business. It explains what a family firm is, what the peculiarities of this model of ownership and management are, and what have been the main lines of research in the field during the last decades. The article also presents, summarizes and contextualizes the other papers that compose the special issue.
