Abstract

This paper analyzes the advantages of emerging market multinationals. It analyzes the internationalization process of 12 Brazilian multinational firms within a historical context and identifies the comparative advantages and disadvantages. It highlights that what distinguishes the internationalization of Brazilian firms —and that characterize their way of doing things— is their management model use, which is based on a unique combination of organizational competencies and management style.
