Key issues for a sucessful employee's transference process in outsourcing projects

Abstract

At this moment, many Spanish companies are developing outsourcing projects with the goal to increase its competitiveness. However, very often, the debate is focused in the financial or efficiency issues, forgetting that knowledge management and the employee's transference process has a direct influence in the success of these projects. In this article, Juan A. Zufiria, General Manager IBM Global Services Spain, expert company in these transference processes, explains the key issues for a successful integration. In 10 years, IBM Spain has integrated in the Company more than 2,300 people coming from outsourcing, merges and acquisitions agreements. Two years after this transference, more than 93% of these employees continued working in the company
