Abstract

In the last few years, the banking sector has suffered substancials operational loss because of technological advances in the financial market and in the banking transactions. In june of 2004, the Basel Committee published a New Capital Accord that incluided requirements of capital for operational risk. This paper analyzes the new framework for the operation.
