Abstract

The present article analyzes the range of risks of an investment in projects of infrastructure of supply of basic services (electricity, telecommunications, etc.). Some are specific of each sector; others are common tomost of the infrastructure sectors. Among the risks common to the infrastructure projects, especially in LatinAmerica, we can point out the one that derives of the typical profile of the cash flow, the financing absence inlocal currency; the excessive reaction of the stock markets; and the scarce size of many countries of LatinAmerica
