Abstract
The internationalisation of Spanish companies is one of the most relevant qualitatively and quantitative phenomenon of the Spanish economy's recent history. Between 1993 and 2003, the accumulated net foreign investment reached 205,000 million euros, of which 36%, was addressed to Latin America (financial, electricity, energy, and telecommunications services). The benefits of foreign investment for the society of the country of destination can be evaluated in social and environmental terms as well as those derived from theactivity itself object of investment. Endesa is convinced that it's bet for Latin America, with a clear intention of permanency; is reasonable, good for its shareholders and positive for the countries of the region.
