La expansión exterior de la banca española.

Abstract

In this article we analyze the factors that explain the process of external expansion of the Spanish banks during the last decade. This process is studied through the analysis, descriptive, of the most significant data of the banking industry. Next we studied the reasons for the Spanish banks investments in Latin America. The work concludes highlighting the high level of worldwide competitiveness of the Spanish banks, that allows to confront the process of internationalization achieving the appropriate balance between profitability and risk.
