EDITORIAL PROCEDURE

The originals received and accepted by the Management Board will be sent to the Associate Editor for the relevant area who will determine whether the work should proceed through the editorial process and be forwarded to two anonymous evaluators (experts external to the publishing entity), renowned for their work in the field. The list of evaluators from the last few years is provided to support their work by enabling them to select and include new reviewers that the Associate Editor considers most appropriate for evaluation of the work.

Once the Associate Editor receives the two evaluations, they will submit a proposal to the Management Board to accept or reject the article for publication in UCJC Business & Society Review. It is intended that, through the implementation of successive quality “filters”, the reader will be assured that the magazine only publishes contributions that are high quality and current.

STANDARDS FOR ARTICLES

UCJC Business & Society Review welcomes the submission for publication of original manuscripts prepared by members of the academic community, business schools worldwide, executives, and entrepreneurs. The journal has a clear academic orientation, without prejudice to its mission of transferring knowledge to the business and managerial sphere. Likewise, authors are encouraged to submit articles that are aligned with those previously published in the journal, in order to ensure thematic and editorial coherence among contributions.

To be considered for publication, authors must comply with the following guidelines:

Articles must be original and unpublished, with a maximum length of 10,000 words, including footnotes and references.

Each article must be preceded by a title, a brief abstract in both Spanish and English of approximately 80 words each, and five keywords in both languages. In addition, the work must include its classification according to the descriptors used by the Journal of Economic Literature.

The name(s) of the author(s) must not appear anywhere in the manuscript, in order to facilitate the evaluation process, as author details will be provided in the digital submission form.

Manuscripts, including the title of the work, must be submitted electronically in the format required by the submission system through the following website: journals.ucjc.edu. Authors must complete their personal information in the electronic form.

References must be cited within the text and listed in the references section following APA 7 guidelines.

Authors must also provide a declaration regarding the use of artificial intelligence tools in the preparation of the manuscript, specifying the type of tools used (if applicable) and ensuring compliance with academic best practices, the originality of the work, and proper citation of sources.

Depending on the nature of the research, the journal may require that the work has been approved by a research ethics committee. Authors must provide proof of such approval if requested.

Articles will be published in both English and Spanish. Authors may submit their manuscripts in either language; however, once the editorial process is completed and prior to final acceptance, authors undertake to submit the full version in both languages.

Upon receipt of the manuscript, UCJC Business & Society Review will acknowledge receipt by email and initiate the selection process described above. Once completed, the corresponding author will be informed of the decision on acceptance or rejection by the Editorial Board.

Authors who have published an article in the journal may not publish another for a period of two years from the date of publication of their previous work.

The journal reserves the right to edit and correct articles, including separating and highlighting particularly relevant or noteworthy sections of the text, while always respecting the original spirit of the work.

Authors must be willing to transfer the publication rights of their articles to UCJC Business & Society Review.

All submissions must meet the following requirements.
