CONSECUENCIAS DEL LIDERAZGO INNOVADOR EN LA GESTIÓN MEDIOAMBIENTAL.

Resumen

En la literatura de gestión medioambiental ha sido previamente contrastada la actitud innovadora como factor impulsor de la estrategia medioambiental. En el presente trabajo se avanza en el análisis de esta relación, estudiando cómo afecta a la estrategia medioambiental el desarrollo de una actitud innovadora avanzada o proactiva, caracterizada por llegar en las prácticas de innovación más allá de los niveles habituales en el sector. Utilizando un panel de datos para el periodo 2008-2013 se observa que aquellas empresas con una estrategia innovadora proactiva son mucho más capaces de alcanzar posiciones también proactivas en el desarrollo de su estrategia medioambiental. Esto nos lleva a concluir que un adecuado desarrollo de la capacidad de innovación permite aprovechar recursos y acumular experiencia y conocimientos que facilitan el camino hacia posiciones proactivas de la estrategia medioambiental.
