Abstract

The poetry collection Oxford Circus transforms pain and heartbreak into an aesthetic of resistance, a process of collective healing that does more than just expose the wound. In the spirit of kintsugi, it seeks to 'embellish the crack,' reminding us that identity is a fluid construction. Even in the shadows of the frayed circus tent—in the margins where the trapeze is set, the bonfires are lit, and the spell begins—the word is always a refuge; to name is to exist.
