La influencia de la realidad virtual en el comportamiento ético y las emociones de directivos y trabajadores

Resumen
Este estudio investiga cómo los estados emocionales inducidos por la realidad virtual influyen en la toma de decisiones éticas de directivos y trabajadores. A través de simulaciones controladas de realidad virtual con empleados corporativos reales, demostramos que, aunque esta tecnología modula significativamente las emociones, dichos cambios emocionales no alteran de forma directa el comportamiento ético. Los resultados sugieren que las emociones por sí solas podrían no afectar el comportamiento (no)ético vinculado a los roles organizacionales, lo que cuestiona los supuestos
sobre la capacidad de la realidad virtual para mejorar la ética mediante la inducción afectiva. Estos hallazgos destacan el potencial de la realidad virtual para la gestión de las emociones en las empresas, a la vez que subrayan la necesidad de estrategias complementarias para abordar los impulsores sistémicos o cognitivos de la conducta deshonesta.
