Abstract

This study is interested in exploring the relationship between the use of social networks and executive functions, emotional regulation and impulse control, in a population of young adults between 18 and 30 years old. These variables are evaluated in a sample of 155 participants, using the scales: DERS, ECIRyC and BSMAS. Higher levels of network addiction are associated with higher levels of emotional dysregulation (p<0.001) and impulse control (p< 0.001); and higher levels of emotional dysregulation with higher levels of impulse control (p< 0.001).
