Edupsykhe is a scientific publication and, therefore, adheres to the standard guidelines for scientific journals, which are required for indexing in international databases. Submitting works to Edupsykhe (whether or not they are ultimately published after the relevant evaluation process) implies acceptance of these publication guidelines, which must be scrupulously adhered in any circumstance.
Works submitted to Edupsykhe must be original and unpublished. Therefore, they must NOT have been published by other media or publications in any format, nor must they be under evaluation for possible publication in other journals or parallel media. This implies that the authors agree to respect the deadlines for evaluating works imposed by the journal once the works have been submitted.
The journal, for its part, undertakes to be scrupulous in respecting these deadlines unless special events beyond its control could alter them (vacation breaks, computer errors, etc.), and these must be adequately justified.
1. Topics
Edupsykhe will accept, review, and publish articles or bibliographic reviews provided they are clearly and manifestly related to any of the areas listed below:
- History and historiography of psychology and/or education.
- Epistemology and research methodology in psychology and/or education.
- Systematic theoretical reviews on topics related to psychology and education. • Research papers on all subjects related to psychology and education.
- Pedagogical techniques and psychoeducational projects.
- Case studies.
- Monographs on topics related to psychology and education. Normally, Edupsykhe itself will propose topics for monographs to the coordinators it deems appropriate, but the publication's Editorial Board will consider external proposals, if necessary.
2. Regarding the review process
The publication of works is subject to the mandatory quality review by at least two anonymous reviewers selected by the Editorial Board and/or the Edupsykhe Advisory Committee. This process will be completely neutral, and authors who submit works to Edupsykhe implicitly agree to abide by the reviewers' decisions: accepted for publication, accepted with modifications, or not accepted. In this regard, and to avoid suspicion, Edupsykhe guarantees authors that their proposals will always and in all cases be reviewed by individuals of recognized prestige and competence in their respective fields of work.
In the latter two cases, "accepted with modifications" or "not accepted," the authors will receive prompt, confidential, detailed explanations of the reasons for the decision.
In the case of "accepted with modifications," it is understood that the article will not be published until the authors provide reasoned support for all the modifications requested by the reviewers. To this end, the modified work will be accompanied by an attached document detailing all the changes made to the work so that the Edupsykhe Editorial Board can determine whether the reviewers' requests have indeed been met, or whether the reasons for any of them have been adequately explained.
In the case of "not accepted," it's understood that the relationship between Edupsykhe and the authors ends until a new paper acceptance process begins. Authors will be notified within four to six weeks, except in the case of vacation periods—or other issues beyond the journal's control, which would be adequately notified—which would logically extend these deadlines.
Authors agree not to submit—or have submitted prior to the start of the evaluation process—their contributions to other media simultaneously. Detection of simultaneous submissions will result in the immediate deletion of the work, even if it has already been published in Edupsykhe, without prior notification to the authors.
Except in the case of a monographic or special issue, submissions will be published as they are received and accepted. In addition to indicating the submission/receipt date, the submission date will also be indicated. The issue will close at the end of the semester corresponding to each of the two annual volumes of Edupsykhe.
In the specific case of reviews and/or revisions, the journal's Editorial Board will make decisions regarding their publication or rejection, and under what conditions.
3. Publication Standards

5. For book reviews or Collaborations
The decision on the publication of this type of content will rest exclusively with the journal's Editorial Board, with the Editor-in-Chief having the casting vote. Authors must strictly follow the instructions below to prepare their manuscripts and upload them to the platform in the following format: *.doc / *.docx / *.rft / *.odt:
- The file name will be: "review(or collaboration_author's last name_edupsykhe_year".
- A scanned image of the cover of the reviewed book must be attached as a separate file, in good quality and in any of the following formats: *.jpg / *.jpeg / *.png.
- The authors must explicitly state the unpublished nature of the work, and that it has not been simultaneously submitted to other publications. The authors must declare the absence of any potential conflicts of interest.
- Since the journal cannot determine the true origin of the submissions it receives, Edupsykhe will not be held responsible for any potential identity theft.
- Edupsykhe, once the work has been accepted for publication, will not be responsible for any omissions or falsifications of documents related to this matter, which in all cases will be the sole responsibility of the authors.
- Edupsykhe will accept works exclusively in Spanish and English.
- The first page of the review must include the following information: Title of the review (or collaboration); Author's full name; University or workplace and a contact email address; Date of submission; Bibliographic record of the book reviewed (if applicable).
- As in the case of articles, some of the above data may be exported by Edupsykhe to the cataloging/indexing systems that require it, for the exclusive purpose of scientific dissemination, and without Edupsykhe being held responsible in any way for the use that third parties may make of them.
- In all cases, the desired profile of reviews or contributions will be a critical analysis of the work that is useful to educators and/or professionals, that is, beyond a simple enumeration or summary of its contents. The maximum length of the review or contribution may not exceed 3,000 words. A relevant bibliography must be included, if necessary.
